Wat Uposatharaam
in
Uthai Thani
is located at
the foothills of
Mount Sakae Krang,
along the shores of the Sakae Krang River.
Its name is
a compound that derives from the words
ubosot and
araam,
and it is also referred to as
as
Wat
Boht.
The small temple's idyllic
environment includes these clusters of
yellow
and
orange-red
Canna flowers,
which in Thai are known as
Phuttaraksah
(fig.),
i.e. the ‘Buddha
guards (or heals)’.
