  Wat Huai Pla Kang

Thailand

Wat Huai Pla Kang is a Buddhist temple in Chiang Rai, which features a nine-tiered Chinese-style pagoda and a 79 meters tall white Kuan Yin statue, said to be the largest image of this goddess of mercy (fig.) in Thailand.

Inside the statue itself is a lift that takes visitors up 25 storeys, offering them an amazing bird’s eye view of the city literally through the eyes of Kwan Yin.
