Wat Huai Pla Kang is a Buddhist
temple in
Chiang Rai,
which features a
nine-tiered Chinese-style
pagoda
and a 79 meters tall white
Kuan Yin statue,
said to be the largest image of this goddess of mercy (fig.) in Thailand.
Inside the statue
itself is a lift that takes visitors up 25 storeys, offering them an
amazing bird’s eye view of the city literally through the eyes of
Kwan Yin.
