Railway of Thailand imported 30
Pacific
4-6-2 Steam
Engines, No. 821 to No. 850, as well as 70 Mikado
2-8-2
Steam Engines, No. 901 to No. 970, from Japan, which
were
put in service in between 1949 and 1951. Of these No. 953 is still serviceable, whilst the
others were
decommissioned,
yet No. 943 (fig.)
is kept on display at the
Railway
Park, in the back of
Chatuchak
Park (fig.). |
