 Subject:

Commemorative postage stamp of the 1978 Red Cross Fair, surcharged to the denomination of 3.25 + 0.25 Baht, overprinted in black. It illustrates the donation of blood to the Thai Red Cross Society, with on the left edge of the stamp the Thai text borijahk lohit chuay chiwit pheuan manut (บริจาคโลหิด ช่วยชีวิตเพื่อนมนุษย์), i.e. donate blood save the life of a human friend, while the right edge bears an English text with a similar meaning of the text. Besides the surcharge overprint, the stamp is also overprinted with the Thai text bamrung kachaht (บำรุงกาชาด ๒๕๒๙), i.e. Support (the) Red Cross’.
