A Five-dot Sergeant, spotted at the Purple Mountain, in Nanjing.

This species of butterfly is listed in the family Nymphalidae, and is known by the scientific designations Limenitis sulpitia and Athyma sulpitia.

Though this species does occasionally occur in Thailand, it is so rare that it has purportedly been caught only once, in Nan province, and has no Thai common name.

In English, it is also commonly known as Spotted Sergeant.
