Thai wind vanes, called bai kang han (lom),
often have fanciful shapes, like this on with puppets that move up and down
through a handle when the blades turn in the wind.
It belongs
to the Royal Thai Navy and is painted in the Thai tricolour (thong
trai rong) with on its tail

white elephant on a red field,
