gong bearer
An antique gong bearer in Burmese-Lan Na style, part of my private art collection.
The wooden figure stands on a lotus pedestal (fig.) and originates from Chiang Mai.
It has the right hand held upright, where his shoulder supports the pole from which the gong is hung.
