Wat Mahathat (Ayutthaya)
Wat Mahathat (fig.), a large monastery in Ayutthaya, is today a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the city's Historical Park.
It is best known for a Buddha head on its compound, that is grown over by tree roots (fig.).
This large monastery was probably built between 1374 and 1384 AD.
