  Shwesandaw Phaya (top terrace viewpoint)

Shwesandaw Phaya (fig.) reportedly has a height of 99.9 meters, making it one of the tallest monuments in Bagan. It has five terraces and is topped with a bell-shaped zedi or stupa.

 

The terraces can be reached by any of the four steep staircases, one in the middle of each of the four sides. This attracts many visitors, especially at nightfall when many come to enjoy a scenic sunset.

The topmost terrace offers panoramic views of the surrounding planes and its many temples and stupas.
