Red Grasshawk

A male Red Grasshawk spotted near Banteay Srei (fig.). It is cherry red to brown, yet depending on the light it is exposed to, it may even appear to be almost black.

Hence, it may easily be confused with the Cleartip Widow (fig.) or the Blackspot Widow (fig.), both species within the same genus.
