It offers a bird's-eye
view of
Rattanakosin
as well as of the temple's adjacent
wihaan,
whereas on the inside the pinnacle houses a relic
of the
Buddha
(fig.).
Prior to this,
between 2004 and 2016,
the
chedi-like
spikes were
painted black (fig.),
and before that they were
white
and the
walls pink
(fig.).
