Some of the Hpo Win Taung Caves near Monywa, have colourful Buddha images, as well as murals (fig.).

Certain Buddha images are stunningly decorated with jewels and colourful robes, and this one has eyes made from glass.

Whereas most caves consist of small rooms (fig.), there is also one tunnel cave lined with Buddha images.

However, a few temple caves and Buddha images are rather modest, with hardly any colour.
