Hpo Win Taung Caves
The 14th to 18th century Hpo Win Taung Caves near Monywa, feature Buddha images (fig.) in sitting, standing and reclining poses (fig.).
Often, also sculptures of Sariputta and Mogallana can be found, placed to the left and right sides of certain Buddha images.
The caves at Hpo Win or Pho Win Hill are located adjacent to Shwe Ba Hill, on the west bank of Chindwin river.
