  Chulachomklao Maha Raj

 

Thailand

Statue of King Chulachomklao, who is also known as King Chulalongkorn and with the crown title Rama V (fig.), as part of the monument at Uthayaan Rachaphak (fig.). He ruled Siam from AD 1868 until 1910 and reformed the nation after the western model. He is recognized as a Maha Raj or ‘Great King’.
