 Subject:

Tax stamps depicting a portrait of King Rama V and a set of scales, and with face values in Thai of 10, 20 and 40 Baht, overprinted in black with face values in English of 10, 20 and 40 Ticals, as well as the text Siam Postage, in order to temporarily be able to use these revenue stamps as postage stamps for mail purposes. Besides the above fiscal stamps, others, also in green but with face values of 1 Baht with heading and value highlighted in purple print, 4 Baht with value and heading in red, 10 Baht with value and heading in brown, 20 Baht with value and heading in green, 40 Baht with value and heading in blue and 80 Baht with value and heading in orange, as well as with a face value of 4 At with both heading and value in green, and none for mail purposes, were issued, of which the latter was also overprinted in black with a value of 10 Satang, yet also not for mail purpose.
