This Black-and-white-banded Ichneumon Wasp has a brownish body, but is otherwise overall black, while its abdomen, legs and antennae all have white bands.

Its compound eyes are black and bulbous, and at the posterior end of its abdomen is a large black ovipositor, which is only possessed by females and used to deposit their eggs.
