Scouts, known in Thai as
look seua,
from different
nationalities and scouting branches wearing various
uniforms, including rover boy scouts in beige uniforms, an air scout in a blue uniform,
a sea scout in a beige uniform, and a boy scout in a khaki-green
uniform, lifting their arms towards the sky around
the logo
of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, i.e.a French lily or fleur-de-lis
with two stars, surrounded by a piece of rope
tied with a reef knot, which is overarched by the Thai text
Look Seua
Pheua Santhiphaap (ลูกเสือเพื่อสันติภาพ),
i.e.
‘Scouting For Peace’,
and the English text
‘A
World of Peace Through Scouting’,
which is flanked by the silhouette of a flying bird on each
side. In the bottom left corner is the emblem of the
National Scout Organization of Thailand, a fleur-de-lis with
two stars and a
tiger
head over a banner with the Thai scout motto sia chihp yah
sia sat (เสียชีพอย่าเสียสัตย์), which freely translates as
‘Death
before Dishonesty’, and encircled by a yellow border with
the text National Scout Organization of Thailand in both
English and Thai, the latter being Kha-na Look Seua Haeng
Chaht
(คณะลูกเสือแห่งชาติ).
Underneath the emblem of the National Scout Organization of
Thailand is the text 75th Anniversary of World Scouting,
also in both English and Thai. |
