Tabebuia chrysantha
Tabebuia chrysantha is a tree that is commonly known as Trumpet Tree or Golden Tree, and in Thai as leuang india, meaning ‘yellow India’.
Chrysantha is a Greek compound word which derives from the words chrysos and anthos, and means ‘golden flower’, due to its yellow trumpet flowers.
The tree originates from South America and the name tabebuia is a contraction of tacyba and bebuya meaning ‘ant wood’ in the Tupi Indian dialect.
