In Thai, scorpions are known as
maengpong. Having eight legs, they
officially belong to the invertebrate category of
maeng. The one in the photo on the
left was spotted in a garden in Sri Lanka.
However,
scorpions are
sometimes
erratically
called malaengpong,
thus placing them unjustly in the
category of
malaeng.
The one in the picture on the right
was spotted in a forest in Cu Chi,
Vietnam.
