Rust-coloured Millipedes (mating)
In the mating season, Rust-coloured Millipedes come out of their hiding places, often in large quantities, in order to find a mating partner.
When they meet to mate, they curl around each other, interlocked with their heads close together.
In the bottom two pictures, the exchange of a body fluid, as well as their blackish compound eyes, can clearly be observed.
