A male Scarlet Skimmer, spotted in Chiang Mai province, northern Thailand. It is scarlet red and has transparent wings with yellow and brown venation, and amber wing patches at the base of their wings (fig.).

Another male, spotted in Bắc Hà, a district in the northern Vietnamese province of Lào Cai.

This species is also known as Crimson Darter.
