Whereas
the forewings of this adult male
Stream Glory
are transparent, without any obvious colour,
the colour of the upper hindwings is a stunning iridescent green
with blackish wingtips, while the
underside of the wings is dark brown.
This
differs from females, who have
pale brownish wings, with two small whitish spots at the
upper edges of the forewings (fig.). This one was
spotted near Mae Taeng in Chiang Mai.

Typical
of
damselflies is that when perching it rests
its
wings along and parallel to
its
abdomen, whereas the wings of
dragonflies are held away from and
perpendicular to the body when it
rests (fig.).
