A
lak khon
is a rectangular apparatusconsisting of a wooden frame
of about 2 meters by 5 to 8 meters, with on either side about 20 or more aligned
pins of 10-15 centimeters each.
It is
used to
wind long threads of yarn, in order to make them into
the right size for looming. In the background stands a
rahng khon
(fig.).
