  Horse Tamarind (tree)

Thailand

Horse Tamarind is a small tree also commonly known as Lead Tree, Wild Tamarind, Jumbie Bean, Jumbay, White Popinac, White Lead Tree, Lead Bean, and Wild Mimosa, and in Thai called ton krathin.

It bears long, flat bean pods, that are edible when still green (fig.), and are served fresh as a side dish with many a Thai dish, though they quickly turn brown and unpalatable if not harvested in due time.
