A heavily weighted shuttlecock, used in the Vietnamese national sport of da cau, which in China is known as jian zi. The game is played with rules similar to takraw, with players aiming to prevent the shuttlecock from touching the ground by kicking it in the air using any part of their body, except the hands and forearms (fig.).
