TRADITIONS & UTENSILS

  benjahngkhapradit

Thailand

Benjahngkhapradit is the name of a form of prostration in which five parts of the body, i.e. the head, hands and feet, touch the ground. As such, it is in many ways similar to kraab and aphiwaht.

It likewise also starts off with a wai, i.e. the Thai greeting or way to pay respect, in which the hands brought together in front of the chest or face, as seen performed by the lady in the background.
