Wat Ta-khe,
which means
‘Sledgehammer Temple’,
is an
archeological
site
in
Saraburi,
that
consists of the
ruins of an
ancient Buddhist
temple. Its
name derives
from
two
sledgehammers
that were
found
here during
excavations.
It comprises mainly of
two stupas that stand
side by side, sharing
the same base, and which in Thai
are known as
Chedi Tham Jindah,
i.e. ‘Stupa(s)
of the
Dhamma
Gem’
(fig.).
