  Wat Ratchaburana (Bangkok)

Though the temple originally dates from the late Ayutthaya period, the present ubosot of Wat Ratchaburana in Bangkok was built only in 1960, after it was seriously damaged in World War II.

 

Whereas on the outside, the large ordination hall is decorated with stunning gilded gables and other bas-reliefs (fig.), on the inside,  it houses the Phra Phutta Maha Raj Buddha image (fig.).
