Wat Phuak Chang
Wat Phuak Chang, i.e. ‘Temple of a Crowd of Elephants’, a Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai.
The temple's Merit Pavilion contains a Buddha image seated in the maravijaya pose.
This principal image is flanked by bas-reliefs of thevada, some wooden tung kradahng (fig.), and a pair of phum dokmai (fig.), each enclosed with u-ba and topped by a lotus bud.
The temple is built in an architectural mixture of Thai-Lan Na and Burmese styles, such as the staircases adorned with mango-shaped ornaments (fig.).
