Wat Khae is an old Buddhist temple in Suphanburi, whose name appears in the story of Khun Chang Khun Phaen. Besides a more recent ubosot, it also features an ancient wihaan.

The old wihaan is built adjacent to a large fig tree with sprawling branches and aerial roots, under which some Buddha images and a statue of Rahu standing on Garuda, are placed.

In the back garden is a statue of the monk Luang Poo Khong, who was a teacher here to Khun Phaen. He seated on the back of a giant hornet, located underneath a large hornet's nest that hangs from an adjacent tree.

Due to it association with this story, the temple's compound has turned  its garden into a kind of theme park with statues of the protagonists and main characters from this romance.
