  Indian Cork Tree

Thailand

The Indian Cork Tree, also known as Tree Jasmine, blooms from September to January and bears many white flowers that taper off into a narrow tube, a shape known as slaverform. The tree is really covered in flowers and many  of them are drooping. They are very fragrant and attract many nectar-eating birds (fig.) and insects, like the butterflies in these pictures.

In the photo on the right is a male Common Birdwing (fig.), as well as the vague outlines of a member of the Pieridae family, possibly a male Common Albatross in dry-season form (fig.), in the background (right corner).
