An adult
Indian Cormorant in breeding
plumage, perching on a tree branch in
Ayutthaya. It is
overall black
with a
bluish gloss, silvery scapulars, dark grey to black legs and webbed feet,
and a blackish bill. in addition it has small
silvery patches over
the eye and -in full breading season- will develop a white tuft on the rear
head-side.
