A 4.2 meter papier-mâché statue of
Thien Khuyen (fig.),
the Vietnamese Judge of the Heavens,
in the middle hall of
Chua
Thay, i.e. the ‘Master's
Pagoda’, at
Sai
Son, where he is placed opposite of
Trung Ac, the
Judge of the Hells (fig.).
He is seated on a brown
lion
and holds a green pagoda-shaped rock, that contains a
white pearl. The latter is
reminiscent of
Duo Wen Tian,
one of the Chinese
Four Heavenly Kings, who
sometimes holds a pagoda (fig.).
