Tham Kaew is a little visited off the beaten track cave in a steep cliff near Khao Sok National Park in Surat Thani (fig.). It is situated about a kilometer from the entrance along the main road but the path towards it is challenging, i.e. steep and slippery with sharp rocks. Some sections are fitted with metal ladders and ropes to hold onto to facilitate the way up and down.
