Thai postmen in different periods, i.e. in 1883, 1935, 1950 and in 1974, respectively, and each in the uniform of his time and in front of a postbox of that era (fig.), as well as with in the background one or more objects that refer to the specific time period: in the 1883 design it shows the nation's first ever Post Office building near the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok (fig.); in the 1935 design it shows airplanes being deployed in the advent of airmail delivery (fig.); in the 1950 design it shows a postman delivering mail by a small paddle boat known in Thai as reua tae or sampan; and in the 1974 design the background shows a Kiosk Post Office
