A yellow Star Spiny-backed Spider or Spiny-backed Orb-weaver, with dark brownish-black spikes and markings, including two bands that run across the shell and that are lined by tiny dots on the outside.

The same species, i.e. Gasteracantha doriae, yet another individual, here seen from the underside. In Thai it, is generically called maengmoom lang naam. Both these spiders were spotted in Hue.
