Part of the permanent exhibition of the Royal Thai Mint Museum (fig.) at the Rohng Kasahp Rangsit complex in Pathum Thani (fig.) is located in the porch.

 

In each of the four corners of the portico leading to the entrance of the foyer are antique decommissioned machines that were formerly used in coin minting in Thailand, namely a British blanking machine from Taylor & Challen Ltd. in Birmingham, a device used to punch out round metal disks, called blanks, from a sheet of metal...

... a French engraving machine from V. Janvier in Paris, an apparatus used in coinage as part of coin design, to make a coin die, which has an inverse version of the image to be struck on a blank to create the relief designs on coins...

 

... a British Birmingham Mint pressing machine, a manually operated tool that mints coins by striking the blanks with the coin dies, i.e. the two metallic pieces with the inverse designs of the images that are to be struck onto each side of a blank, thus deforming it into the image of the dies and creating an embossed coin...
