A Rocket Festival float (fig.) decorated with nagas (fig.), as those were ordered to play in Lake Anohdaad, so that water spilled, would serve as rain on earth.

It is thought that during the dry season the nagas fell asleep, prompting the people in Isaan to launch self-made rockets into the sky, in order to awake them.
