A Red-billed Blue Magpie in Chiang Mai Zoo. It has a black head, neck and breast, with a large creamy white, mane-like spot on the crown, that may somewhat taper towards the back of the neck and has some blue spotting above.

In addition, it is greyish cream below and blue above, with a thick, bright, orange-red bill. Its legs and feet, as well as a ring around the eye, can vary from dark yellow to orange-red.
