A Painted Jezebel, of which there exist several sub-species, this one being a female Delias hyparete metarete.

Above, its forewings are mainly greyish-blue with black margins and veins, whilst on the underside the hindwings are largely yellow, with some white and orange towards the edge and also with black margins and veins.
