  Pah Teung Hot Spring

Thailand

Pah Teung, which means ‘Tight Forest’, is the name of a park with a natural hot spring located in Chiang Rai's Mae Chan District. At the edge of its lake, is a sculpture in the form of a two giant krabuay, i.e. traditional coconut shell ladles.

The edifice is fashioned with life-sized figures of people and animals, and is named Nahm Buay Witthi Chiwit Khon Lan Na (น้ำบวยวิถีขีวิตคนล้านนา), i.e. ‘Water from the Ladle, the Lan Na Way of Life’, and the figures can be put in motion mechanically.
