using radio equipment, with on
the left the logo of the Amphon Sathaan (fig.)
Radio Station, i.e. a transmission tower in a shape reminiscent of the royal
crown and with the Thai letters O. S. (อ.
ส.) interwoven with each others in the centre of the
tower. It is a reference to his Majesty's role in the establishment of the
Amphon Sathaan Radio Station at
Chitralada
Palace in
Dusit,
which still broadcasts regularly from the above location on FM 104.0 MHz,
under the name Or. Sor. Sathaanih Witthayu or Amphon Sathaan Radio Station.
The letters O. S. (อ. ส.) are
the initials of Amphon Sathaan (อัมพรสถาน), from where the first broadcast
was made in 1952. In the background is the silhouette of the rooftops of
Wat Phra Kaew
(fig.),
and in the bottom left corner the logo
of the National Communications Day, i.e. a
stylized messenger pigeon. |
