Drawings depicting 1. Visakha Bucha, commemoration of the Phrasut (birth), the Enlightenment, and the Parinippahn (passing away) of the Buddha, events that according to tradition all fell on the same day, throughout his life; 2. Makha Bucha, commemorating the 1,250 enlightened monks who, without prior notice or call, simultaneously came to the Buddha to hear him preach; and 3. Asaanha Bucha Day, commemorating the first sermon of the Buddha given to the five panjawakkie in Sarnath.
