is a Buddhist temple
at Myitnge
near
Mandalay, dedicated to
the
naga (fig.),
as well as to
snakes
in general (fig.).
There is also
a statue of
Shin U Pagok
(fig.),
the deity that
guards water. It is
flanked
by
nagas,
who —as guardians of the the earthly waters (fig.)—
fulfill a similar role.
