Whilst the
upper-side of the wings of the
Jungle Brown is plain,
dark brown, without markings, the underside has two
eyespots or ocelli, as well
as a typifying whitish marginal line
on both the forewings and
hind-wings.
This individual also has an additional third
eyespot,
which is smaller in size and located near one of the two
ocelli on the hind-wing.
