On top of their heads, between their eyes, Indo-chinese Water Dragons have an iridescent, photosensitive gland, which zoologists believe is part of their system of thermoregulation.

This spot or so-called third eye, is officially known as the pineal gland and is thought to also help avoid threats from above, such as attacks from aerial predators, as it recognizes differences in light.
