A
Greater Racket-tailed Drongo with its
distinctive shape and elongated tail which is shallowly forked, with the
shafts of the two outermost feathers greatly extended and ending in flat
rackets (fig.).
This medium-sized Asian passerine lives in the forest undergrowth and can be found all over
Thailand. Its plumage is completely black with a blue sheen, with a tuft of curved back feathers on its forehead.
