  golden Totsakan mask

Thailand

A golden Totsakan khon mask, which in Thai is known as Totsakan Nah Thong. This one was the favourite mask of Kukrit Pramoht (fig.) and is today on display at the Kukrit Institute (fig.), including the puang malai.

Besides the main yak-face of the mask, there are three smaller yak-faces at the base level of the chadah on the back-side (fig.) and another four faces on the middle of the peak. At the very top of the peak is a human-like head with a face, which only faces forward and represents Phra Phrom.
