An adult male Dark-necked Tailorbird spotted near the Khlong Sok River (fig.), in the vicinity of Khao Sok National Park (fig.), in southern Thailand.

It is similar to male Common Tailorbirds (fig.), but has a faintly streaked lower face, a dark streaked throat and upper breast, as well as some yellow at the shoulders and a yellow vent.
