Portrait of King Maha Vajiralongkorn in Army uniform, with to the left in gold the King's Royal Cipher, i.e. a chadah-style crown with his initials M.V.K. (ม.ว.ก.). King Rama X's crown title is symbolized in the stamp's the denomination of 10 Baht printed in yellow, a colour that refers to the King's day of birth according to the sih prajam wan system and that corresponds to Monday (fig.). A special feature of this postage stamp is the use of a 5-colour printing technique with blue, yellow, red, black and white on glass foil, for the first time in the world. The printed paper with embossed letters was sent to England to be coated with silver foil and then to France to be coated with another layer of transparent film in order to add a glittering beauty to the image on the stamp.
